Orga Aviation, a world leader in the design, development and manufacture of state-of-the-art hazard warning lights, is celebrating after a very successful EWEA Offshore 2015 at the Bella Centre in Copenhagen.
Over 8,000 delegates from 54 countries attended the world’s largest offshore wind energy conference and exhibition. In addition to 430+ exhibitors, the event included keynote speeches from high-level political and industry players discussing the state of Europe’s offshore wind industry.
This year’s conference tackled one of the most pressing issues for the offshore wind business today – cost reduction. The event saw three of the biggest players on the European offshore wind stage and clients of Orga Aviation – DONG Energy, MHI Vestas Offshore Wind and Siemens Wind Power – launch an initiative called United Industry, pledging to undertake joint and individual actions across the whole of the value chain to deliver long-term reductions in the cost of offshore wind.
Praising this year’s EWEA Offshore 2015, Matthieu Scheffers, Business Manager for obstruction lighting at Orga said: “Cost reduction is one of the biggest challenges facing the wind energy industry today and reducing capital costs, particularly in offshore wind, must be an industry priority over the coming years.”
“For 40 years, Orga has been committed to producing precision-engineered aviation obstruction lighting systems which will help minimise capital costs and costs of ownership. We are totally focused on continuing to give our customers a sustainable competitive advantage by keeping ahead of emerging technologies.”
Scheffers added: “EWEA Offshore 2015 exceeded all our expectations. We received solid enquiries and are confident they will result in new business. Visitors were especially interested in our next generation smart LED obstruction light and the feedback we received was very positive.”
