Brae Bravo – Phase 2 – Jacket Marking
Our client’s request
Orga BV, collaborated with TAQA’s UK business to provide a suitable navigational aid solution for the Brae Bravo decommissioning programme, to be placed on the substructure of Brae Bravo once the topsides were removed.
TAQA required an autonomous, UK compliant, marine obstruction marking system, for the Brae Bravo fixed sub-structure, in line with the Standard Marking Schedule, set out by BEIS (Department of Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy).
The outline brief challenged Orga to propose a self-contained, single lift skid option, that was cost effective, robust, and encompassed a reliable Aids to Navigation solution. The self-contained option reduces the offshore crane operations, to the minimum, therefore promoting safety and efficiency.

Orga’s solution
The proposed system would require, zero intervention over a 12-month deployment period and was to be delivered by summer 2021.
The technical offer provided by Orga featured a Plug & Play approach, which needed minimal offshore manpower and commissioning, thus adhering to TAQA’s project specification.
Powered by primary cells, and low power Aids to Navigation fixtures, the system was designed, built and tested at Orga’s Schiedam-based head office in The Netherlands.
The project was completed safely and delivered on time and on budget.
This project has underlined the message that ‘’Collaboration Brings us Opportunity’’.
